First build - Mirage Core

what was used for the visor??? very clear! also the Magnum attachment is epic!!!!
Thank you! If i remember correctly i dyed it using 3 packets of idye poly 2 brown and 1 yellow. then backed it with Spaztix mirror chrome. The one in the photo with all my pieces is one i kinda melted so I didnt chrome it. My nice one has been living over at Mnkrs

well it looks fantastic! I was just wondering how it looks like a good tint and so visible! it all looks great

Still alive! Been busy sanding my suit and modeling the acquisitive reach commando. As well as modeling and printing m6j attachments for my pistol.

Everything with the armor has been primed and mostly sanded. Finally stopped putting off cleaning up the weld lines on the chestplate and im mostly satisfied with how thats coming along.

Mk7 helmet w/ netmoon attachment is on the backburner until this is all done most likely.

OK, I have to know what variant of the M6C that is because it looks insane! I saw this post come up in the recent posts and spent like half an hour reading it. The armour is looking really good! Like the visor. Very accurate. Also the unique weapons you chose are great!

Thank you! That would be the M6J carbine variant. I modeled the barrel and stock for it as attachments for the pistol model which i got off thingiverse.

Have you put the M6J up anywhere to download or purchase? That thing came out beautifully.

I was just thinking of how a small collapsible stock would look sick for my next build and I couldn't find crap on it... then a month later I see this!

Honestly i wanted to make it collapsable but got lazy. Its non functional atm. Maybe ill try and get that working before i release it.
i mean honestly the look of collapse is always awesome to me.. or even a fold stock. love the looks of them. AND most rifles have a breakdown ability so it only makes since!

Looking at it i don't think it looks too hard to make collapsible. The biggest thing is making sure it looks but there are plenty of real world examples to pull from for that! Functioning or not it looks awesome

id say it would be to hard to collapse due to the selector switch above the handle. Unless you cut it off I guess

May be better to lower where the stock sits instead of removing the selector switch. I think you’d need to keep it anchored as is but you may interfere with the hand grip that way? It is a tough problem

an odd predicament lol.. still looks awesome. Guns need collapsible stocks again and still be useable

Got some painting done over the last few days and of course, as soon as I take the tape off the last piece of the commando, the one spot I really didn’t want to chip peeled off with the tape, but overall I’m very happy with the colors

Havent updated this in a bit, but the commando is lit up! Going to add some
More towards the front so the light is a bit more even.

Its powerered by 2(eventually 4) CR2032 batteries with The battery holder fitting inside the body of the rifle with the second one eventually going inside the scope itself. The scope still needs its magnets installed but the ammo counter currently has them installed.

Apart from that it still needs the front *wings* or what ever they are called mounted as well. In addition to some additional detail painting.

Currently I have several ideas for a version 2 of this model the least of which being a more hollowed out body and scope as well as modeled holes to house magnets.

All of the transluscent pla pieces are friction fit on the rifle with no glue.

I really need to finish my suit though lol c2e2 is creeping up

Bonus m6j+headhunter silencer+extended-er mag

Also ended up opting to not use the visor i dyed and had mnkr help me chrome. I ended up ordering a Branfuhr visor and i cant wait to see how it turns out.

My current visor is now my backup

Just stumbling across this build, and WOW! Such a unique arsenal, and so nice to see another Mirage. Finish is looking incredible. Is that M6J design inspired by any art or anything, or totally your own? I love the interpretation.
