added some etchings to it and some black gloss to areas, looking to add some more etchings to give it a more detailed look, thinking about adding a clear coat after to really make it pop. unsure as to weather i should bother to make it have a weathered look.

once the paint it all finished im fitting a visor using a sandblaster helmet visor sleeve and use a silver mirror tint.
so yeah let me know what you think and if you have any tips.
cheers

Yes for weathering

All right have decided to have a crack at weathering the helmet, using the brush method so far and I'm pretty happy with the results. Considering some battle damage as well like claw marks perhaps a bullet impact too. Will load up some pics in the next few days.

brushwork weathering

allright so ive given it some brush work and im thinking less is more.sorry bout quality as its from my ipad. so yeah if anyone thinks i should add more or any suggestions, go for it.

Hey Man, looking good, Im doing the same project.
The weathering looks good I had a crack at tat earlier and had some interesting and useful feedback.

The only thing I have to save with the helmet other than good job, is that you may have lost a bit too much detail on the edges and stuff with the bondo, it looks great it just looks a little curvy on some of the edges.

Just wondering how you scaled it, what values did you use, how big is your head. I got 3/4 of the way through gluing and realised I couldn't get it on my head.

Well honestly I never scaled it. I just went with the default size and risked it. Haven't quite learned how to scale till recently. I'm about 6'1 tall so it's not too big, once a suit is made it'll blend in with the rest of the gear.

As for the bondo I got a bit carried away at times using too much at a time as well as too much hardner so I got to a point I was just slapping it all on not to waste it. Learned my lesson and will make sure to be more careful on rest of suit.

Cheers for the feed back

so after months of waiting and hard work, i have completed my noble 6 helmet. A huge thanks to my mates for their support on this project. Oren, Cody and Jamie. Cheers fellas. A major thanks goes to my partner Kylie for helping with fiberglassing and coming down to the shed to visit and make sure i hadnt passed out from fumes.

used foam sheeting from my local Crazy Clarks to pad the inside
