First Build(s) - Halo 2 classic weapons

Managed to find the exact scope that WETA used for landfall, the Bushnell 1x28 Trophy scope. While it is unfortunately out of production I found a lucky bid on ebay, so that should make a nice addition to the build.

The scope has arrived! I don't have anything to put it on yet but hopefully I'll finish this rifle modeling soon!

New boost of motivation has hit, designed and printed a rail for the scope + I redid a pretty bad section on the BR.

Got another boost of motivation to work on this. Due to some events in my life I'm not sure this will be used at any cons, but I may as well finish it for the files alone.

The grip is the only part that isn't a direct copy of Halo 2, I used some H2:A concept art to design it.

Motivation is still going strong, nearly done now. Just a few minor details and size corrections (fixing screw holes etc.) left and then I can start printing!

Had a change of heart and decided to make the magazine removeable.

Should just slide in, and the magnets will be glued into the holes so the mag can snap in and (hopefully) stay secured.

Finished the modeling last night and sent the first pieces to print. Actually holding the pieces in my hand is so exciting...

Gonna be sending stuff to print when I can, hoping to have everything done soon.

More progress. Got the two largest pieces glued together now, and I started sanding them down. Didn't realize how much work it took just to remove plastic layer lines. Hoping I can pick up some body filler soon so I can start that process as well.
