Hello all, this is my first scratch build, the M6G pistol. I made it with cardboard and am now getting into detailing with thinner cardboard (cereal box cardboard)

Thanks to Wizard of Flight for the blueprints.

More detail to come, I just wanted to get this up right now if anyone has any more suggestions before I finalize details.

By the way, I know there is no trigger, I'm going to add my own.

Does anyone know if any part of the gun recoils when it fires? I'm pretty sure the M6D's back part recoiled when it was fired, and I don't actually have Halo 3 to see, so if someone could tell me that would me nice (thanks!)

Yeah, I think it is slightly small, but I scaled it to what halopedia said (10.5 in.)

Thanks for the feedback and positive suppport

Looking good so far!

There is a tutorial on how to make a weapon in the same basic way you are making it right now. Heres a link:

How to Make a Weapon Prop-Tutorial

Part 1 is in the first post. Part to is in post #20.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I am sure I can help you out and help you avoid as many mistakes as possible with your project.

Again, looking good, but I have to agree, it is a little bit too small.

Cheers!

Actually I've been using your tutorial, thanks.

I've got some progress, but I need to take the pics. The pistol isn't too terribly small, but I see where you are all coming from. I will finish this just for some more practice and then start again.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions!

*Edit*

Got the pics-

My hand holding it-

The smoothed butt of the grip-

The main progress it some more smoothing on the grip. I will do the detail on it soon.

By the way for the people who don't understand why I am continuing this-

I want to get experience doing details and its nice to have a good model of what your building to look at to help the second build.

So once I get a new xacto blade (the tip on mine broke off) I'll start pistol #2

*Edit 2*

Lots of more detail!

Well sorry for the double post, but I think that it's legal since I'm posting new pics.

I've added a small clip to the pistol. I was unable to do the whole thing since I didn't make it with the clip chamber, I had to carve one out.

The chamber-

The clip-

The clip inside the gun-

I think I just need to add the detail on the handle, then some on the rest of the barrel and I'm done detailing!
