Thanks! Yeah I'm in good shape, but not savior of earth shape. So I fiberglass it and then pad the inside with foam? Can you attach stuff to fiberglass with glue?
Really confused on my shoulders. I made the Halo 3 MK VI shoulder/bicep as shown above. Now getting ready to make the EOD shoulder pad. According to pics of EOD armor the shoulder covers most of the upper part of the MK VI shoulder/bicep. View attachment 2249
Do I just attach it? or Do I remove part of the MK VI shoulder to accomidate the EOD?
Normally you remove the MK VI shoulder pad and then attach the EOD shoulder. But since the EOD shoulder is quite large, you could just put it over the MK VI shoulder.

Thanks for the tip. I'll see how it fits and either keep or remove it. Starting to find out that it can be however I need it to be to fit. There's not one way of doing it.
I just finished the left knee/shin and it turned out really well. It was fairly easy because of the large pieces involved. It looks a little short in the pic because it was about a half inch too high on my knee. After I finish the foot piece it should leave just the right amount of gap on my ankle.
I am thinking about using an expanding spray foam after I fiberglass the inside of my pieces. We use an awesome black foam to seal our waterfall in our backyard and it expands quite a bit. Once it is cured it is easily sanded and cut. My idea is to make a round form the size of my forearm or leg, and spray this foam in between the form and the inside of the piece. Then when I cut the piece in half my forearm or leg will be super snug inside. I just need to make sure that it is non toxic, wont itch, etc...
