I got the idea from another thread (Here) and decided what the heck, I'll make one. (minus the little metal rod to carry it around)

It will be the complete infection form minus the tentacles and the legs - the tentacles would be hard to do and the legs are just planes- so both could (and will) be made with cardboard.

After I pep I'm gonna transform it into cardboard... use caulking to smooth in the cracks, sand it, paint it, and scare people with it!

What I've done so far:

I am currently unfolding an infection form I got from halo 1. Unfortunately I have the unregistered version of Pepakura... I'm gonna be using the "Printscreen" button and my computers "hibernate" function alot :)

I'll post a zip file that contains the pages.

i recommend putting little hairs in the foam for realism and adding peices of crud (roll around in your yard shower) to give it that rotting decaying look.

I followed that link to the thread then came across the templates to sew one together with the tutorials. I am going to sew one up! :D I have yet to use my new sewing machine that I got last christmas so now I have something to sew and break in my new machine! WEEEE! lol

I wonder what would be easier.......sewing it or pepping it? Personally, I think sewing would be easier.......less messier too! haha

Goodness knows I have enough hair (2 cats + 1 dog = lots of hair), I think I'll put some expanding foam over the cardboard base, so the pale yellow of the foam (it does sometimes come in pale yellow, doesn't it?) will make painting not needed. Sit it on a patch of dirt and maybe roll it around a bit, halfway through the foam's curing process, put some hair and other "Crud" where it needs to be... crud such as mud, some moss, grass, and maybe even some sand.

But I need to finish up my armor though... pics coming of that soon!

I keep getting better and better ideas on how to make this thing, but I think this method will be final:

1) Create and build Pep version

2) Turn into cardboard

3) fill with expanding foam

4) remove cardboard

5) add tentacles and legs (that are posable? fabric and wire coat hangers will do nicely)

5) add light layer of glue (white? Gorilla?)

6) add mud, sand, hair and crud... paint (if necessary)

7) apply clear rustoleum

8) bring to LAN club :)

Here is a download link to the zip file, (which contains a readme, and 20 bitmaps whereas each one is the size of 1 page exactly) gotta go now (damn French homework)...

I need some confirmation of something, is this is "Great stuff" - which, as I heard, is great stuff :)

Is there a difference between the normal type and gap filler? (different rates of expansion, perhaps?) Because this stuff is cheap where I live ($4) and very near me ('bout 45 minutes away... where I live everything of quality is about 45 minutes away anyway: department stores, malls, etc.)

By the way, this stuff is a kinda sickly yellow, right?

I just read the cap gets clogged after 1 use... too bad, guess I'm going to need to make all my flood forms in one sitting.
