Foam builds

I am extremely new to pepakura and am building an Ironman suit. I am building the abdomen out of foam to give me more flexibility and was wondering what kind of foam is best to be used and do i have to coat the foam build with a type of hardener of some kind. Also, i just finished Sharkhead's ironman helmet and was wondering what was the best way to fiberglass the piece, altogether or in the separate 3 pieces?

well you would fiberglass each individual helmet piece in thin coats to prevent warping.

If you want flexibility, why would you want to fiberglass foam? It defeats the purpose of foam. What you need is EVA foam. You cannot fiberglass foam to begin with. After you are done with your foam piece you seal it with Plasti-dip or similar product. Foam should stay as is. Check some of the Iron Man foam at http://www.therpf.com.

For the helmet, I would recommend doing 2 layers of resin on the outside then cut the face part off and do the fiberglass on the inside of both pieces.
