Did anyone see that halo 3 got game of the year award? That is probably one of my favorite and few games that I have played. I love the story mode and online game play. The maps are awesome too so I can see why this won!

I’ve always felt like Halo 2 deserved a Game of the Year award, especially after the Anniversary remaster. The upgraded cutscenes alone were incredible — they took the emotional beats that were already strong in the original and amplified them in the best way possible.


Halo 2 also did a ton of heavy lifting for Chief’s character. It really showed how far he was willing to push himself to accomplish the mission, and how relentless he could be when everything was on the line. On top of that, the Arbiter storyline added a whole new layer to the universe. Seeing his shift away from the Prophets, starting with the hunt for the “heretic,” gave us a much deeper look into the Covenant’s internal conflicts. It was the first time the series really showed that side of things.


Plus, the voice acting, the music, and some of those cinematic moments? Absolute goosebumps the first time I played it — and honestly still hits today.


So yeah, I definitely think Halo 2 could have taken GOTY in its time, and the Anniversary version only proved how strong the foundation always was.

I never got to play 2 but after you describing it, I definitely want to play it! I love when the cinematic scenes are emotional and raw and that's interesting that you get to see more in chiefs drive. Plus that photo is pretty dope
