You should hit each piece w/ a heat gun for a few seconds. I still see some fraying at the edges. or sand it down a but, either way it will give you a cleaner/smoother surface when painting. Any slight imperfection is enhanced after painting.....especially if you have a critical eye. We are our own worst critic.

Change of plans. Instead of the shins, I decided to work on the helmet. And here it is!



This took a lot of work and patience. I had to make so many custom cuts as the template didn't quite work well with foam. It's no where near perfect, and I know there's a lot I could have done better. But for my first helmet, I'm proud of how it turned out, and it's better than I thought it would be. I can't wait to put the visor on and paint it.

I've already started work on the shins. And it's proving to be difficult, but I should be done soon.
