i thought why dont we make a topic all about what we want from halo 4 if they even make it.


1. more armor permutations!

2. rvb stance over xbl as a custom game option only "lower the guns" on machinima remember every one dont play halo3 on ("september 25")

3. more spartans in story line i hate playing as a elite!!!!

4. campain matchmaking!!!! omg i was so angry when i found out that they didnt have this in halo3! :mad:

5.be able to chose to play as a brute, human, spartan, and elite on matchmaking"

6. a game type were everyone can play as a grunt, called "gruntified", or the "world at three feet tall" (y)

7.be able if you want to play as your online character on offline, or online in the story mode

8. make were you can use forge to make a map by putting trees, bases, water, and other stuff.

9.have more camo with patterns like the marines to put on on the elites, spartan, ect.

10.and visable bullet damage like in this picture.


11. also make a game type that influences team based tactics.

12.armor permutations that cover the arms, legs, and torso.

13. THE REASON BUNGIE DOESN'T WANT TO PUT ODST, OR MARINES IN THE GAME IS BECAUSE THERE NOT TALL ENOUGH BIG F'N WOOP MAKE THEM TALLER AND MAKE THEM JUMP HIGHER ITS A GAME ITS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE REALISTIC MAKE THE DAM HUMANS PLAYABLE.

well im out of ideas.... o_O plz reply with you own ideas and dream of the perfect halo4 game with me.
 
I like halo the way it is, Its already perfect. And if you played as your matchmaking character in campaign or "story" mode, It woul mess up the plot.

BTW guys Halo Wars is Halo 4....

and if they have a map maker with it then I think youll be able to add trees and stuff :)
Anyways I think that the next Halo FPS should have 4player co-op (on one system)
Involve other Spartans in the story
Be more involved with the Forerunner stuff
and basically have a Map Maker in addition to Forge.

Halo Wars is NOT Halo 4.
Sure, it's the next game in the Halo series, but not "Halo 4". It's a prequel and a totally different genre of games.
The next Halo game that Bungie is making will probably be a sequel, but not called "Halo 4", or a spin-off like Halo: Fall of Reach.
 
i think it would be pretty sweet if they made the next game center on the Marines and ODST, little more tactical... this way i can enjoy playing it online as much as i enjoy playing cod4. i love the story of halo and the campaign is amazing, but i just cant stand the online. to much run and gun, to many bullets to put someone down, no weapon classes (can make things very one sided). all i need is a hardcore mode and some marines and i become one happy camper.

Totally! I hear You man!

Spartans are Cool and everything, But maybe a game when youre a marine, or an ODST, and fighting Side by Side with a Spartan. Or maybe playing a Complete new story, which has very small References to spartans. Say, A prequel to Halo, when you're a Shipmaster Elite. And youre in Command, and using the d-pad you can give orders to other elites and grunts. And just fight against humans, and mention the Spartans as "Demons", or maybe even have a Spartan as a boss!

Just my opinion, masterchiefs story is boring me to be honest.

I say they make a 4-man squad-based FPS. Kinda like Brothers in Arms or Republic Commando... but ODSTs. That would kick @$$!
 
-A game type where the Armour perms influence gametype. Like the weapons your use, extra sheilds but slow, fast but less armour, etc. That'd be cool.

-Squad based ODST, where you can kinda chose what happens, like where on the planet you Jump to, whereabouts in that region (So you can aim for cover, flank your foes, etc.)
 
Personally, I think the armor perms having an effect would be nice...

Like EVA would have a better motion detector and range of vision because of the huge-ass visor but restricted motion, EOD would have better explosive resistance but slower movement, etc etc
 
They shouldn't make a Halo 4 at all IMO. It would have to be either based after Halo 3 or a prequel.
A prequel shouldn't be called Halo 4 but should be put down as a spin-off. And a game set after Halo 3 wouldn't be any good as all the fundermentals for a good Halo game are gone plot wise. No more Covenant to fight, no more threat of the Halo rings going off. No more Flood. No point.
They could bring the Covenant and Flood back but it would take some stupidly lame plot device to do so.

I think they should make a Halo game based on the Fall of Reach novel. That book had epic game written all over it. But it shouldn't be called Halo 4. Halo: Fall Of Reach would do fine.
 



i want a destructible area. like brake down a wall with the brute hammer.
also want new armor perms :p so whe can see more props of it here. and erm for the rest i kinda think halo 3 is still good so they can take some stuff of it in it
 
Halo 4 should be a squad-based shooter centering around ODSTs and Marines.

It would work because:
It could recycle timeline without being repetitive.
It could have SPARTANs appear for a while as teammates (you can't have Halo without SPARTANs)

What I think it should have:
Story mode with 16 players in 4 squads (or 8 in 2, 4 in 1, etc. There would be AI teammates as well.)
More usable vehicles (Pelican, Longsword, Shortsword) They would work because you'd have 16 players on the same side accomplishing the same objective, and huge environments (even on a large Halo 3 multiplayer map like Sandtrap, a Longsword would dwarf almost everything and a Pelican would be next to useless)
Campaign-style objectives in multiplayer (A La Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory)
Supply system in multiplayer (support comes periodically (changes based on gametype.) Surviving team members vote to bring in Reinforcements (respawn dead players,) Equipment (Weapons, Ammo, Healthpacks, etc) or Vehicles. Supply drop could be saved up if they were not needed. Dropships could be shot down by the opposing team. Drop pods (for respawning players) could not, 'cause that would be even worse than spawnkilling to get killed even BEFORE you spawn. Items necessary for objectives would be separate from the system (not take up a round of supply)
Ammo sharing/squad support
Set up obstacles/move environment objects/make hole in wall to shoot through
Equipment a vehicles available would vary by map in both Campaign and Multiplayer.
Covenant team for Multiplayer would be unshielded Elites or Brutes, depending on the timeline for the game.
Players would have ranks like in Halo 3, but they would actually count for something in that higher ranked players would have heavier weighted votes in supply drops.
different classes could wield different weapons and use different equipment. Classes would be something like medic, engineer, support, heavy weapons, spec ops. You could change class in the middle of the game, but it wouldn't take effect until you died and respawned. In Campaign, you'd be able to take control of your AI teammates. this would replace class switching.

That was quite a mouthful. Maybe you should design the next Halo game. I'd buy that! I think Unique Name basically summed it up for us. If a game like that were designed, it would be massive and unstoppable. Not to mention unprecidented and unbeatable. That would stop Sony and Nintendo in their tracks.
 
For me it would have to be a prequel. I suppose you could play a spartan and maybe fight along side some other spartans. It would be nice to have another spartan at your side in a firefight.
