How will you harden? Looks great BTW.

Multiple [thin] coats of Pva, and then sand smooth.
I am also going to use gap sealant to fix certain bits too.
Before I do this though I will need to fill the inside to make sure everything is in the correct spot / not warped.

I know it has been a few weeks since I have updated this thread.
I have been very busy modifying my old halo 4 armour, but now that its all done, its time to start working on this again.

What's next:
Helmet: still need to harden / gap seal [going to try to get some plasti-dip when I head down to Melbourne this weekend].
After that, I will most likely put it aside for a bit, until I do some practice molding.
As for the templates... I will try to upload them at some point too.

Other than the helmet, I feel I am going to start working on the other pieces of armour using the same method I did on the helmet.
Probably work on the chest next, or I may start working on the undersuit...
My goal to get this all complete is by the Halo 5 launch [with a bit of luck there will be more reference pictures at some point ]

In the meantime, I will be starting on my 1st costume commission: Joffrey's Wedding Uniform

I got it from my local fabrics store after about 20min of searching.
I believe the fabric is just called Hamlet.

I am pretty happy with how is has turned out.


Sorry for no updates recently, I have been pre-occupied with other projects / life.
I am currently waiting for my morphsuit to arrive of which should be in the next few days.
Once it arrives I will be making another mannequin to use to create the undersuit, BUT this time I will make 110% sure it will fit me / be able to move in it (cough cough, halo 4 suit issues)
I am currently also researching how to use El wire to integrate into the undersuit.

Instead of just going with the blue, I am going to attempt something like this: (in short have the colour change over time)

My current deadline for this project is now April 11th, 2015 for Melbourne Supanova.
Hope to have a true update soon...

Been making a new duct-tape mannequin this afternoon.
About halfway through reconstruction / stuffing.
1st picture: It was this stage I realised I am going to have to walk to the lounge room to get assistance with the top half
2nd picture: Current stage as of 5min ago.

That 'totally-not-obvious-at-all' suit had its tail fall off twice today lol.

Now when I started to repost into this thread with updates I promised to start having actual updates again.
This begins right now.
I haven't been stacking off, I have just been busy sorting through about 200 photos of Locke I took and reducing it down to the 28 you see before you.



It has been interesting trying to work out armour from the undersuit, but alas I am making progress.

Stage 1 [Drawing phase] is currently under way.



Ps: The mannequin is going to need a few fix ups but I will get to that at a later date.
For now he is left in random positions like this one
