Halo animation project WIP

A WIP? Yes a WIP, made by me. While I have been lacking in this site for nearly six months because of family issues, I have come to love modeling. This new project I am setting up has a due date of 7/7/2012. It will consist of about 5 voice actors chosen from non-other than the community. Since I am no-where near the acting stage I don't need to worry about it. Production only takes place on weekends not weekdays. So far I have a spartan model implemented with a custom skeleton system. which can be seen below.

Now since I am very new to this there are probably bones in places they shouldn't be, but I have tested each limb and each move smoothly.

A render of the model is below. I obviously did not make this model I am not that talented, the model is non other than the Halo 3 beta model. I am trying to make the color darker and not as glossy.

The current name and story line is being kept secret, but the voice actors will be given early viewing of at least one month (if I even finish that early).

Yeah, the Beta Mk6 looks almost slime covered. However the lighting model setup used doesn't help it out either.

While it isn't the chief, keep in mind it is based on official halo canon. Chief isn't the only one to wear MK VI.

I understand, thank you. It's just the old knee jerk reaction thing. Olive drab Mk. VI automatically = Master Chief by association in my mind.

Sorry for the lack of updates, im on spring break. While im not releasing any pictures for this update I will tell you that everything is going smoothly and im currently working on facial features. Yes there will be faces.
