Halo infinite style Fred-104

This is my first build thread in years but I feel I’ve made a banger of a set I just had too!
I’ve previously modelled, printed and finished a Halo infinite Masterchief kit.
I loved the new Fred design since catching it on the shadows of reach cover as well as the many misc figures and art pieces that came not even mentioning the inspiration of course being halo legends so the idea aroused of creating the kit for myself!

I’d been already planning to build Fred in early to mid 2024 as my next build. Some in game assets did come out in March of this year to help as significant reference in modelling including the helmet and shoulder pads however the torso and the shins were modelled against any toy and art pieces relevant for the build. Shoutout to MosquitoBandito for the Spartan collection Fred figure references as I wasn’t able to get this one in hand in Australia…

Come October of this year for Pax Australia Fred-104 was ready to drop!

Some notes for this kit!
> The shoes are fully 3D printed with accurately detailed soles.
> the helmet, torso and shoulders contains a mix of resin and FDM parts.
> the knives are indeed magnetised but also held in partially with friction. The magnets alone however are solid enough to hold the piece in place with a total of 18 magnets in each shoulder and knife (totalling 36)
> the paint is a Montana gold spray paint collection. Base coated shock black, then silver chrome which was latex masked, that was given appropriate coats of shock light blue and ‘ant’.

Im not done with the build overall just yet. I want to
Improve the rigging (yes like the right shoe being a bit weird) as well as give a black wash and add the arm gasket. The visor DOES look great but I also need to give it another shot as the vacuum form is rough.. a detailed undersuit is still TBD but eventually I would love to get Fred officially 405th deployed!

For now, the great journey, ends here. More soon.
