Halo MK VI armor upgrades

hello all you 405thers out there I am starting a new armor concept based on the suit from the mini episode "Prototype" in halo legends. so here is my progress so far.

my hope is to be able to clip the attachment so that it can come off.

ok here are some more upgrades.

I decided i really wanted a tac-pad so here are the devices i have.

my hope is to be able to scrap one of the phones and use the camera somewhere else on the suit (possable recording capabilities in my future.)

this is the housing i have designed.

The second thing i have designed is a holder on the back of the torso (and yes i realize it looks bad right now but i have a lot of upgrading to do to this thing.)

and as for the (prototype upgrade i have decided to postpone it till summer [my fiberglass resin froze and i wont be able to buy any till after this semester])

due to my rush to get my MK VI finished for the halo 4 midnight release i neglected to add certain included details to the back of the torso. i have now decided to finish it.

areas that still need cut out are drawn in ink.

starting the electronics (finally)

This is due to a small sizing issue. but I have a question for the community do I Paint it my armor blue, or keep with the design of the thigh, or do I leave it grey??

BUT i dont want to go through the whole process of pep to paper to product. that said here is my idea.

arrgghhh it has been to long since i have updated you guys on my helmet progress.

i have just finised the hardening stage and am moving on to the bondo stage in about 2-3 days.







and for my detailing purposess i threw a coat of primer on.

Hello again there 405th i have something new for you.

i recently finished my halo 4 combat knife, but my problem was that i could not reach the other side of my armor where i wanted to put it. so i came up with this.



i kind of liked the idea of putting the knife on the shin piece.

hey there guys i have a (sort of update) for you

i finished my scratch build improvements for my thighs and the combat knife sheath

i have taken the opportunity to take a few pictures.

hey there guys i have anther fast update for you

after my short photo shoot with myself i ran into the issue of having a severe armor malfunction



with one of my (admittedly terrible) MK VI boots down the drain i had to decide what to do. what i decided was to finish my MK VII boots. i now have both of the base models finished and only have the final brace to do. here are some pictures (the second boot was made out of scrap peices)





over the last hour i have done some field testing of these boots and i can run, jump, and tackle flights of stairs with ease thanks to a hinging system i put in. so all in all these are much better boots than my old ones.

so in other news i am going to a school (something type of get together) and they are having a costume contest. So i am hoping to have my armor back up to specs before then. i will let you know how it tuns out.

The new boots look good, foam should help prevent a tear like last time.

To give the foam a texture that matches the rest of the armour, I'd suggest coating the boots in PVA with a decent 'Varnish Brush'. Or If you have a bit of extra cash lying around, coat it in a few layers of plasti-dip.

By the way, are you still going to base this on the Prototype suit? Or are you just sticking to Mk VI?

the idea is to build a prototype concept (i am working on concepts of the booster frame latching system) sot that the whole piece (or parts) can be removed if i don't want it; so yes i am still working in that kind of direction but it is not totally based on the prototype suit. once i finish a good idea i will post a picture; but as of right now college is getting in the way and i don't have the time for a massive undertaking. but i will get there eventually.
