HALO Reach Boots - Searching for Suggestions

I am currently rebuilding some Parts of my Reach Armor and there are only the Boots left.

But i don´t know how i should make them...as a Shell for Shoes, making wearable Boots or else...

So i am searching for finished Boots and your Way you made them, i would be very happy if some People reply to this.

I made them once, but they don´t work with my Style.

I also make the Shins longer, but the Boots were still too width / big.
