Hello I am committed to make an Emile cosplay but here is my main issue. Im completely new to 3d printing but ive been binge watching 3d printing back to back but im stuck on what printer to get. I keep seeing creality k1 max but if i get that 3d printer how much of slicing am i doing just for each piece to completely fit me (I have armorsmith) Also pray for me about doing Emiles visor cuz god christ all mighty im gonna hate myselft doing it :( any suggestions would be great

Welcome! We’re very excited to see how your build comes along! We do have a thread that explains what printers our members chose and why, linked here What's Your Printer?

I use an Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus myself, it’s a good size printer and their customer service will usually replace any parts that break for free.

Hope this helps!

Visor is the toughest part for sure. if you dont have a vacufoming set up, it might be best to buy a visor from somewhere. I know branfuhrstudios.com or galacticarmory.net sell very nice visors.

i can buy a vacuforming setup i keep seeing videos on how to do them its just needs to be perfect or its juts scraped

There is definitely a bit of a learning curve to vacuforming. I made mine for pretty cheap, and it works well, but learning to get a good pull can be frustrating. I am definitely all for building the arsenal of cool tools and gadgets though. I wish you luck with it, and I'll keep a watch on your progress.

I have a K1 plus, a K2 plus and a Neptune 3 max. I love the speed of the Kseries with decent size. But you can’t beat the build plate size of the Neptune max. I learned by lots of trial and error, and do encourage others to do the same. Ask questions but don’t be afraid to do! And thankfully there is just about a YouTube video or two for anything these days.

Love seeing Emile cosplays, so I look forward to seeing your progress!

I just bought a Neptune 4 max and i just finished sizing the armor pieces to my size in armor smith! Btw is PETG going to be best for doing this? And also what are your print settings if im gonna get this done right with little errors

print settings are going to vary person to person, depending on your printer, filament, and environment. From what I've seen most people use either pla or petg, but they're both solid options. If you're unsure about the visor there are people who offer vaccuforming and resin printing services

I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t change many settings in my slicer, I prefer to print 3 walls thick with less infill just because I I’ve resin the backs of my pieces for strength, so less infill saves material. I’ve never used petg, but I’ve heard it works. I use PLA and just keep my suit outta the sun and don’t leave it in a hot car. I used to have an old CR-10 printer that I changed a bunch on, but as for the newer stuff it’s pretty plug and play. Armorsmith is a fantastic tool!
