I used to travel to Vegas then hop a Janet 737 to do some 'work' monthly when I was still active duty, hardly even recognized the place when we were there last month for the Fallout Con which is what we're doing next Nov as wel so only The Ghoul will be showing up for that
My wife actually attended the first Star trek Con in Boston and has signed photos of all the original cast members except for Nimoy. Back then celebs didn't charge for autographs ... today it would cost a small fortune to get them ...lol. Was at a Con last year where Shatner attended ... $120 for an autograph ...
She also happens to be good friends with Jason Issacs so after he played Capt Lorka on Discovery she did a ST cruise Con he went on
That's him signing the life size cardboard cutout of himself she had on her cabin door at 2am one night ...
And this is us at MegaCon ... when we rolled into the Photo Booth he grabbed his cell and started taking selfies and then Marie told him "you know, Ken's in there" and he was like "what?" .. "Yes, he's in there!" And then I started talking to him ... lol
She's also going on another CruiseCon he'll be on at the end of Jan and she's been wanting to have a Luck MCClane vault 33 costume ... and you know what that means...
She found a really good vault jumpsuit that is quite accurate but all the "leather parts" look like something a mom made the night before Halloween for their 8 year old ... so "..........
Based on my success with creating and sewing leather for my Colt Seavers outfit
I now have to take a 'strategic pause' with the MC and make her gun belt, holster, rifle shoulder pad, knee, elbow pads and forearm and shin protectors all by 30 Jan and were leaving for Egypt on Friday and won't be back until the 13th
Luckily even though the stuff she got is garbage it's all the correct size so I don't have to create any patterns which is what takes a long time. I might be able to get some of that cut out at least if the leather shows up today ...
