lol this happened to me. If you want to bypass the being put on hold, plus the expensive phonebill, use the regional phonenumber. To find this, simply go to http://www.saynoto0870.com/search.php and type in the support line number to the phone number search box. For me, a company called 'XBOX' was listed, described as customer support, with a geographical number. I rang that, and that puts you straight through to someone (in case of any confusion that the company name may have caused, it was actually the right number).
I would encourage you to use saynoto0870.com for other purposes too.
