Hello! 3D printing my first MK-VII Spartan build

Hello! This is my first time cosplaying with a fully built costume! I started with probably the most difficult project as a beginner. But it has been really fun and enlightening! I wanted to ask for some help with choosing a color that closely matches my multiplayer spartan for my arm and leg pieces. Right now I'm steering towards Rust-Oleum Venentian Bronze since it is pretty close to the in game color, but their metallic is a bit too glitter heavy for me.

Thanks! That's the plan! I'm having a hard time finding the right pigment for the arms and lower body. So I'm going to go back to the hardware store to look at more metallic greys from Krylon. I'll have more pictures soon after I start painting!

just make people squint when they get close to you

Thanks for the recommendation! I couldn't find slate, but it seems like it got replaced with charcoal grey. I tested it on some failed prints I had lying around, and it looks great! I'm also switching from red highlight to a blue one. I found this really nice rustoleum deep vibrant blue called Midnight Blue.

I suggest walking into the auto parts store and looking at all the cans of car paint.
You'll find 15 different shades of "Metallic Gray" in varying amounts of sparkle.
  • Toyota Charcoal
  • Mazda Meteor
  • Ford Metallic Smoke
  • BMW Shale
and so on. All just slightly off from each other - and you should be able to find something that jumps out at ya
