Hello!

So I started my first pep of an ODST hemet. But the neck is too small to fit my head through. Wondering if anybody has any solutions. I scaled the helmet to my head height so that should be fine.

Im thinking maybe making the back removeable and re attachable somehow, but not sure on a method to do this.

Any help is appreciated!

use small earth magnets... the bradinator used it like this...sorry, I dont have a link...

https://www.kjmagnetics.com/ <------ Has a magnet calculator. Type in the manget size, type etc and it will tell you how many pounds of force it takes to undo the magnet. Multply that by how many magnets you are going to use and you will know how strong it will be. When you want to buy the magnets, ebay has better prices.

Also be sure to use the appropriate Help! threads to post questions to. You will find them in the New Recruit sticky.

You could basically do what Impact Props did with their Recon helmet.

Granted, their neck seal is rubber, but the same principle works for a rigid piece. Some straps to be able to hinge the back piece and let it move enough to get your head in, then a few magnets to secure the piece in place.

Good idea, i was wondering if I could somehow hinge a piece. I will have a play and see what works best.

Its nice that there are so many options :)
