Help please with a build

Does anyone have any preference of what should be used for the faceplate of a mark vi helm? I am having trouble of what i should use. i dont want to use a motercycle helm faceplate but something better. Any suggestions?

maybe you can cut plexiglass, (or some other type of glass or plastic) into the specif shape then paint it how you want?
