wondering how big is to big to make a pep file(search lead nothing) i have a file that's 2.76 meters (9.06 feet) tall and looks like the pictures bellow, its got a fairly low poly count and i was thinking of getting it unfolded for people who might do live action and need one, what do you think.

made this some tome ago. i would just need to put some cross cuts in it.

very cool, although It may be easier to make it out of some kind of large tubing instead, rather than paper. Maybe the top and the bottom made from paper just for that rounded part and then fill it with foam.

Looks like a oxygen container and if it was unfolded I would say no higher than 2 feet

two feet? no no no, this is one of the ammunition drop pods in halo. it cant be two feet or it couldnt hold any weapons. 9 feet seems a bit large but i dont know the dimensions of the actual model.

Some things are better scratchbuilt than made from pep. This is one of them. It would be more work than it's worth to try and pep this, IMO. You could just build up a tube out of plastic sheet or thin plywood and then get creative with the endcaps.

Well, I just did a quick calculation, and the resupply canister in halo 3 is about 2.32 meters. Which is too big for pep.

So yeah, definately something you'd want to scratch build.

That's extremely excessive. A splaser is about 1m long. Why would you need more than twice that for a container?

Is a laser larger than a sniper rifle?? (dont know my sizes too well)

Also, Remember these are drop pods, meaning from flying ships, so they do need to be able to sustain the fall from. although when you see them in the game, they usually drop only the equivalent of 3 stories. but i wouldnt want a rocket going off next to my troops because of a skinny drop pod either.

No, but sniper rifles don't drop in the drop pods...

The measurement I gave is just an estimate. I didn't account for the fact that the bottom of the container usually gets crushed in on impact.

Yes they do get droped, I think you get one at the first shield tower. I know in Halo2 you get one in it.
