How do I make a lense?

Ok so Ive looked around the forums and have found a few ways to make a lense for the Halo 3 ODST helmet I will be starting this summer. Ive seen people soften up the lense from a motorcycle helmet and bend into shape or use plastic from an arts and crafts store. My question is wich way would be easier to do. Since this is my very first ever build I would like to start simple. Also could someone provide me with a link to what I would use to make my lense color a silver mirrored?

Glad I could help, but don't stop at just one video, never ever hurts to watch a handful and read up on it to. More than one way to get things done around here.

Lol I was thinking the same thing. I have spent my enitre day watching videos and reading up on how to make the visor and the helmet. I hope it turns out good!
