Hello,

Sorry, the title might have been a bit confusing, but i dont really know how else i could have formed it..
So anyways, when i'm wearing my helmet you can see the inside it when you look below, i would like to get rid of this but i have no clue how.. again, what i just said may have been really cofusing so i will just post a picture..

so 1st of all, this is my helmet from the inside, very comfortable, but my nose keeps hitting the visor.

And here is my problem:

as you can see you can see my ears, and a little bit inside the helmet.. i would like to seal it so that you cant see anything inside..

Does anyone have any tips/clues?
I tried wearing a black Commando hat or what ever you call it.. but you can still see inside.

A ski mask... or maybe just a neck seal... velcro attach to "seal" the helmet maybe... no one has yet produced a great solution.

I'm going to draw up some helmet gaskets that we can attach to our helmets.

Want me to post in this thread or create a new thread?

Also.....could someone take a pic of the bottom of their helmet please?

Yeah, i'm going to make a similiar neck seal, in finland sewing/textile classes are compulsory.. So i got a few tricks in my back pocket..

But what i'm really looking for, is a neckseal that will seal the neck seal and helmet together.

Until tsuyosa starts selling the neck seal shown above, I have to contend on using a balaclava (or ski mask) and a stormtrooper neck seal, shown below:

How about gluing some foam around the neck? Sow some fabric around the foam, that's an idea. The foam should be flexible enough to allow your head to push into the helmet ;)

This sounds like a good idea, especially if you are on a budget like me :p
Thanks, hopefully I will remember this when I get to this stage!

I did that, and it works pretty well. It doesn't completely form a seal around my neck but it does a fairly good job.

Are you going diving? A complete seal isn't necessary.. just whatever you require for comfort.

Do you need it extra comfy? .. can I get you a pillow?

Just trying to make a point here, not to ridicule. Your armor is what you make it. Eventually these costume armors will do everything that the fiction embellishes it to do, until then the burden of improvement is up to you.

heres what i did with my helmet. i took the entire liner out of one of my street bike helmets and stuck it in, this includes even the random trim pieces, which hide my chin completely and form somewhat of a seal. however it makes getting the helmet off somewhat of an ordeal, but combine that with a nylon head sock and you cant see inside...

use soft rubber linning for the edges, I used a chin strap Idea from my paintball helmet, also try and find motorcycle helmet pads to replace that blue crap, trust me, it's a life saver with my CQB helm ;)
