Not sure if you guys remember me but I was big in the Mark 5 scene ages ago.

I have moved onto other things since:

<div align='left'>Still coming along. I am putting together a general blog so you can see some of my progress there

The gas mask I got is way to friggin' small, and wearing it for more than a minute at a time is difficult. Does anyone know a way to stretch the mask permanently? I have tried stretching it over a basketball and leaving it for a few days, but it just snaps right back.

Guess the CCCP didn't cheap out in their rubbers.

On the same token, did anyone ever release a pep version of the combine mask? Honestly I think it would be more comfortable.

Cheers.

Nice to see ya man! I love your pep files for the Mk. V! I was actually wondering recently what happened to you...... As far as stretching one of those russian gas masks (I got one a couple years back, its fun to freak ppl out with :), i think heat would probably do the trick for a more permanent stretch, like a hair dryer, heat gun, or oven. Though it is pretty thick and durable rubber, I honestly doubt if you'll be able to get a permanent stretch short of playing the vac-former sort of deal of heat and stretch for a while. I wish there was a combine helmet! that would be so sweet!

Nice ta meetcha!

try pouring boiling water in, stretching it, then letting it cool while stretched
only problem is you cant let any water get in the filtration bit (whatever its called)

Going to try hair dryer then.

The mask has been gutted abit and needs more stuff added to it so I am not too worried about damaging the filters.

Cheers.
