Ok. This is pretty cool looking. Just a test using EL wire for the eyes. (You can NOT see through it. I just put paper in the eye slots so it would look right. Im probably going to use a white mesh material for the eyes.

Nope, Just Bondo, Vinyl spackling, glazing putty, sand paper and my bear hands. I've used a good 12 different layers there. It's been pretty painstaking. I just have one little area to sand one last time and I get to start the detailing. (Lines, screws, ear pieces, lenses, painting etc.)

Looks good, smoother than most pep i've seen. This and a few other topics have inspired me to go back to bondo after my bad experience with it with my 1st helmet.

Messing around with thin layers now instead of thick ones. Anyway, keep it up! Do you have any plans for a full suit, or just the helmet?

I honestly have no idea. I just saw the commercial for Ironman movie and I'm always looking for something new to build so I just thought I'd take a stab at it. I may end up selling this on ebay. If not I'll wear it to the midnight showing of Ironman. I don't like to sell things on ebay but keep building new things I have to have funds for my future projects.

Anyways heres what I've done today. I started on the detail lines. They aren't perfect but I think I did a good enough job with the dremel.

Here's the mold for the ear pieces. Today I found a lid to a plastic lantern and it is absolutely perfect for the ear pieces, unfortunately I only had one so I'm going to cast a couple of them once the silicone sets up.
