Hello, I started working on this Ywing helmet this past week. Got the file over on the Dented Helmet, from a post by Dung0beetle. Anyways, here are some pics, and hopefully I will be able to fiberglass it starting tomorrow... weather permitting

Sorry for the crummy picture quality, lemme know what you guys think

I agree, the pep looks great. I dont think ive ever seen a Y-wing pilot helmet before, Im interested to see how this turns out. (Also, loving the Led Zepplin shirt!)

WHAAAAAAAAAAT!? Y-Wing helmets!? Now I need to check if they have A-Wing also, that thing looks sick! Good work and I can't wait to see more of it.

Also, I like your thread title! Reminds me of...

Nice job on the peping, its going to make your job alot easier when you take on the body work process

I found someone with the A-Wing pepakura file, but it sounds like he wants money for the file... I guess that's the difference between Halo armor makers and Star Wars ones...

The lower left one is the A-Wing helmet:

The A-Wing helmet has a leather underhelm, and an armored piece that wraps around the back of the head to cover both ears, and then a blast shield on the top.

PS: I'm a fellow Y-Wing enthusiast, check out this job I did on one of those old 80's Kenner toys:

I went with Red instead of yellow, but It's even got Dutch inside!

Thats a pretty awesome model. I really do love the Y wings, they've always been my favorite ever since the Rogue Squadron games. As for the picture, thanks a bunch!! I had never actually seen an A wing helmet before. I only remember that green leader guy who crashed into the SSD at the end of RotJ, and I don't think he was wearing one...

PS the R5 feels like it looks better with a y wing.

Thanks! It was a labor of love for sure fixing up that toy, only a dollar on ebay!

The A-wing pilot was Arvel Crynyd! Here he is before

And when he was... well y'know

I love the R5, a junker droid for a junker ship! Y-Wings are always my favorites, they're the A-10's of the star wars world. A-wings are a close second though, something to keep up with the Tie Fighters.
