i got a question if i build the helmet before i get the visor how would i know if it fits, but if i do have the visor how do i install it into the helmet when i'm sculpting the helmet or casting it.

well id find one that is too big cuz u can always cut down.

i would try to find the sheild 1st then build around that...the shields are flexiable to a point......then once you got your helmet the way you like it use hot glue to hold it in

you an always use cardboard, and then bondo/fiberglass over it. That's cheap and easy.

How tough and durable is this method? Can you make molds of said item once you fiberglass over it?

yes you can..thats how i made part of my armor....it can get hard as fiberglass, but not hard enough to stand on it, if you back it with fiberglass colth it will hlp out too

im gonna make mine out of cardboard then coverit in fiberglass cloth and do all that stuff. im gonna weather it too.
