This is my first time building a set of armor, I'd like to thank all the people who posted such great info on this forum. I am trying to make the Halloween deadline so I intend to cut corners, my end result may not look spectacular but hopefully still be awesome!

Pieces that I pepped and put on for test fitting, I know the arms are different, i made the other as the file came out, I might keep them different and put an attachment on the left arm

Chest and Shoulder attachments Resined (I did not like the fit of the helmet so I redid a new pep, pics for it are further down)

In the spirit of being my own designated Spartan 3, and the fact you can customize Noble6 before you play him/her, I decided to make Carter's attachments for my armor, This way I can build the Bicep pieces out of some cardboard and have the shoulder attachments draw the much needed attention.

I did not pep the raised cross thing on carter's shoulder because it was small and too much of a hassle, I might compensate by making it out of cardboard and putting it on, or leave it out all together.

My new helmet pepped and resined

Test fit with the helmet since the chest has warped a bit =/

Rondo in and outside of the helmet (it is a tad heavy but hey its a helmet and armor)
was not looking forward to the sanding job at this point....

visor is now cut out using a rotary tool (cheap $20 thing i found at big lots)

Stomach plate and hand plates resined and rondod the moment they dried

did not pep the circles in the handplate because it's a pain to pep stuff that small when in the end I will just use the rotary and make the holes myself.
shoulder attachments rondod

After some initial sanding here's what i have, still not perfect but better off then when i started, still got a lot to go.

Plans:
with Halloween as the deadline and with school in a few days I plan to cut corners by just sanding the resin on the other pieces and painting them, maybe leave a rough sanded look to give it a weathered and been through a crap load of battles look.
I plan to build the biceps out of cardboard and only a very basic squarish look because i only need the shoulder attachments to draw the attention and the shoulders cover a good portion of the biceps anyways, so i don't need the details on the bicep sides.
The chest is rondod in sections due to the warping and the underpart that connects to the back has warped severely so I intend to cut them out, rondo the pieces and re-attach them on straps so that it can be flexible and be easier to put on.

Also I got the lower body to work on too.

Ok it's been a while since i posted progress but between moving to an apartment, and Halo reach gaming I haven't had much time to unpack my laptop and post pics, but I have taken pics and gotten pretty far on progress!

Legs pepped and rondo (warped inward so not a lot of thigh room =/)

Turns out I had enough time to get Bicep pieces done too! yay!

atm: Cod Piece is needed to be Rondo'd and then I will sand imperfections out of the pieces and Primer them. ( As i said earlier Im skipping the Outer Bondo/rondo phase.

anyone able to link me some really cheap under suits say under $20 or under $10?

DANG that looks awesome, i started a reach build a long time ago and i am still not even close to finishing:( :)

Looking really good! Hopefully I can get a set done before Halloween as well. Any tips on working on the Pepakura Models? I always seem to be really off when putting it together. Where did you start when putting the helmet together?

I started with the top of the helmet and then worked on the bottom front of it seperately and glued them together, I just try to match up the lines as best i can and you can take some liberties on the lower def models since the detail comes out of your outer bondo/rondo phase which i chose to skip except on the helmet. On the helmet Ive had one side of the paper lower on the top of the head then the other side and that was after i resined so it was stuck like that. pretty sure it was warping, but Bondo/rondo layering can fix most of those.
also hot glue is best since you can use the gun and remelt the glued section and seperate and re-attach.

not much tips on the folding other then fold on the lines, and the rotary tool helps quite a bit when u want lines to come back out after you rondo/bondo over it like the little side slits on the side of the jaw part of the helmet got covered in rondo so i used a rotary tool to cut them back out. I'm not skilled so I've made plenty of mistakes =P

Lookin good. I tried to do reach but the chest file i used was all messed up (changed to mk 6). Good to see other people got it right.

To anyone who was wondering about folding, scoring it with a pen works well, also an exacto knife or pocket knife works great to. I use my pocket knife the paper folds itself for the most part.

keep up the good work.

Looking good so far, bro. But the chest piece needs to be just a little larger - or so it seems. Can't wait to see the finished piece!

Haven't had a lot of time since school is a pain, but here's what I've gotten done in the spare time I have. The Black was a lot darker then I thought wanted a more gunmetalish but I don't have the money to put into different paints so I will work with what I have, its not too bad when the silver accents bring out the differences.

Painted the Spartan Eagle on the shoulder piece

lol, in one of your pictures you were trying to do a peace symbol or something but instead you did the (no offence) up yrs symbol, it's like peace but backwards :) (don't ban me mods, i was just saying it so he knew :) )
oh, good job on the armour

that's what that is? I thought I was doing the "Spartan Smile" from Nylund's book which they describe was holding two fingers up to the Helmet visor.

Update

Sorry for the lack of updates but being a science major isn't easy @_@! The build is more or less done, just need to add foam padding and straps in to hold it all together.

Visor is now in: Held in by friction, some glue and duct tape, any one know a good way to prevent fogging inside the helmet?

Legs painted: love the tinge of discolored black patches as a result of light coating and a black primer gives a nice weathered look

Chest piece is painted and added in some pouches to its front for a tactical look but its more functional then anything else, cell phone pouch, place to put in money, and a light so i can be seen in the dark (don't want drunken frat guys running me over =P)
