What I have done in the past is use a bit of spray foam on the inside and cut it down until it fits. Instant adhesion, and you can add more and trim it out as you need. You have to be careful doing this because spray foam expands in all directions, so either make sure your armor is very well reinforced, or put it in a place where the expansion will not press against two walls, thus causing warping.

i kind of rushed the forearms but nothing i cant touch up with bondo

Forearms, chest, cod are all finished , just need to add some Velcro padding & the graves and shins
