First thing is I know how to put LEDS and fans in. Ive seen the tuts but where do you get the componets?(walmart, Autozone, Specialty stores)
Second thing is how do you get a visor to be completley flush with your helmet and how do you secure it?
WOuld Screwing it in two bondo buildups in the helmet then putting caulk to fill the small crack then paint?

You can buy the LEDs and fans at radio shack. There are also good deals on ebay for small quantity orders of LEDs (less than 500 lol).

At walmart you can part out those tap lights for less than $10. Comes with the battery holder, circuit, and ~3-20 LEDs.

Sorry I couldn't answer your second and third questions.

There was just a thread about your last questions within the last week. I believe it was in the Creation Discussion thread.

Use the search tool.

thankosm for the help so far
I saw omne about piting tabs to put the visor in but not how to make it flush.

Click here, there is a thread regarding techniques to make your visor flush with your helmet. The author of the thread is asking the same thing, and there are a few suggestions that follow.

As for LED's and fans, if you want to buy offline, yes, Radio Shack is your easiest source. There is a website that I generally use if I need LED's, ELED.com. They're fairly cheap and the delivery time is quick. Also, if you happen to know of a year-round Christmas retailer, a lot of Christmas tree lights are made from LED's now adays. I got a strand this past December with I think 50 3mm LED's for about $5. If you bought 50 LED's from Radio Shack, you'd spend about $40 - $50.

Use a hot-glue gun available at Wal-mart or any craft store (Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc). It doesn't get hot enough to damage most visor surfaces and can be softened with a hair dryer if you need to remove the visor later. Get lots of sticks with it. The glue gun also works well to tack the wires in the helmet out of the way, as well as to secure your LEDs. Check page 2 of the "Wir--An unplanned Spartan Armor build. My Cardboard Odyssey" that is also on the Pep and Cardboard forum for pictures of the visor/LED install.
