I loved it! Personally thought it was better than H3. Campaign was more fun, with more interesting characters, firefight is kinda cool. And call me crazy, I actually liked the absence of versus multiplayer. But I never liked halo multiplayer, so maybe its just me.

The game was decent I'm glad I picked it up. I never used the Br in halo 3 that much so I don't care for it. The carbine was my weapon of choice in this game. I dislike the fact that if you turn off the game it doesn't save the terminals even though you click save & quite... The story was a little bit short and ending could have been better. There is no matchmaking so I need to have 3 others that want to play firefight. I didn't have mythic maps so kinda worth it for me to pick the game up. I wish I could pick up the elite swords I found in game... Overall a decent game.

I liked it. Alot of you aren't really looking at the enjoyable things about this, only nit picking at it. which irritates me to see people nit pick at something people put alot of hard work an brain power into. >.>

Sure the campaign could have been longer, sure the odst's were just about as strong as a spartan was an shouldn't have been, and sure the absence of multiplayer like in halo 3 was a little disappointing but the additions, the better story telling, the options for something new, and better challenges as far as having to better strategize, it made ODST alot of fun an very enjoyable.

and personally I couldn't stand the BR so good riddance XD lol It wasn't the best way to end the series while they had their hands on it, but it was still fun an I do enjoy the firefight with a bunch of buddies ^___^ the only thing I don't like is how you can only have 4 at a time, but frankly it doesn't matter because it's still fun! I didn't absolutely LOVE it like I did with Halo 3, but I still liked it enough to say that knowing what I know now? I'd still buy it ^^

Well said ^^ I didn't like the br either, I didn't even notice it was gone. either way, it's a great game!

Ya'll posting in a troll thread.

I hate people who drop a magnum for a BR in H3 MM.

It feels so much better to take down a group of brutes using the plasma pistol, than it does using the BR in H3.

the best weapon in H3 multiplayer is The fuel rod gun...LOL...

I truly do enjoy firefight mode. It is hard to find like minded people though. I have a hard time convincing my Halo/COD buds to switch from their precious nazi vs zombie games. They gave firefight a chance, but quickly decided that nazi/zombie was better.

Creatures of habit....

I think it's worth $60, I mean it has the basic features that Halo 3 had.

Halo 3: ODST = New Campaign, Multiplayer, Forge, Theater, And a BONUS, Firefight, Reach Beta Invitation. Price: $60

Halo 3 = Campaign, Multiplayer, Forge, Theater. Price: $60

Plus, Mythic maps, which would've been $20 anyways, so technically, you're paying $40 for the game, and $20 for the maps.

EDIT: Also, I love the new tactical feel to the game. you constantly have to change your weapon according to the enemy you're fighting and the most useless weapons became useful all of the sudden. Also, the new enemies like red Drones that have shields and the different Hunters and Engineers add a totally awesome twist to it. Plus, I think removing the BR was a good choice because all I always heard in Halo 3 MM was, "I'll grab that BR." "You suck at BRing!!" "I'm beast with the BR." But, let's face it, the BR was the easiest weapon to use in Halo 3. The first time I played the game I got the top of my team in Big Team and my tool of destruction was the BR. Overall, I think the expansion is GREAT.

EDIT 2: And let's not forget, the 'game' is an expansion. :D

Amen! :D

It led to some reasonable discussion, lay off?

Also, no, they don't.

If it is a Troll thread.... then that's also ridiculous. Try not to turn the 405th into Bungie.net. No trolls, no ridiculous swearing, no BR vs. AR flame wars.

Im not sure how powereful the pistol is but everyone says its better than a BR55.

Well okay, if thats true , A supressor and armor peicing rounds... all in one pistol?!?!?!!???! whats the point of having other assult rifles in the halo universe if you have super pistol

Nobody's cussing like a twelve-year-old who just discovered the Internet and want to pose like gangters? Nobody's trolling for their own amusement? And some people are honestly justifying their opinions with more than just 'lolol AR is for nubs, suck it up'?

Learn the difference between trolling and mature discussion.

Nobody is saying the pistol is Stronger the the Br, what everyone is saying is that it is more fun to use due to the fact that the Br is One of the things that made Halo 2/Halo 3 easy.

It makes ODST more of a challenge if we lose one of the most tactical Human weapons in the game.

And btw, I didn't mind having the Br, but I do like how much more challenging ODST is without it.

I really dont see what you are trying to put out there. Yeah theres no BR but as alot of people said it made halo 2-3 really easy people got used to being able to kill with a BR fast, but IMO i love the H1 pistol, it makes it more challenging. The fact that your not with your squad is that you just in your pod while everyone else was out fighting because of being knocked out. So they have you find clues to find your squad as you should know. I think that bungie did Great on this Game it was very fun. FireFight was better then i thought. And ok maybe there is no matchmaking but they never intended for there to be matchmaking,

They gave us enough with FF, The Great Campaign, 3 New maps For H3, They gave you recon, and The Halo reach MP Beta.

To me thats alot of stuff and to complain about what you didnt get and what you want is just not right you should not so greedy and look at it as what they give to you not what you want from them. Please DONT BE A GREEDY PERSON Enjoy what you have.

Thanks,

Quinn

Memes =/= /b/tards. Also, I have to admit I thought this was a troll thread for a while. Perfect place for it, you have to admit.

It's not better than the BR, but it can kill with a single shot to the head (like the pistol in Halo 3 and 1), and can shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger. Also, a 12 round magazine. But unless the enemy is unshielded, it sucks completely. It makes the game more challenging and fun.

I do have bones to pick with the game, the SMG and Pistol basically make the AR pointless, as the SMG has longer range now and more stopping power. The BR is in the game, watch the NMPD officer that gets hammered by the chieftain. I do like the lack of a BR otherwise all I would need to win Firefight would be Rockets, PP, and a BR. Firefight also has made the Fuel Rod gun extremely useful too.

Alot of people feel the campaign tends to repeat itself, although the the multiple paths and walkways a city has leading into an area leads to so many possible attack variations.

My two biggest problems would have to be skulls are not random in FF which I recall a Bungie employee saying they would turn on and off randomly. And for the less hard core fans who have not read all the books and graphic novel, and are part of a Halo prop building site.....the ending may be a bit confusing for them as they may be unclear as to what they engineers are without their armor or why your trying to save it without getting the Audiophiles.

I was kinda disapointed because i thought it was suppsosed to be hard. but after beating it on heroic after like what 5 hours it was not really funny anymore. and firefight wasnot as funny as i thougt it would be. So then i just started hunting for achievements and now i havnt been playing it for 2 days....so i really hope the reach beta that comes this spring and Assassins creed 2 wont be a letdown. Peace to y'all.
