Sorry for the lack of updates, the printer is still down, this really sucks. Going by what my teacher says, there's seems to be only 1 guy in all of Northern California who does maintenance on these printers.

In the mean time I've been working on some lower rail attachments. The first one was chopping off the lower half of the light module and adding a 1913 rail. This allows for most real firearm lights, lasers, grips and other accessories to be added to it. The 2nd attachment simply converts the smaller existing rail into a low profile 1913 rail.

Low Profile

And out of complete boredom I designed this tonight. Pretty much converting the M6C into a SMG. I don't plan on building this, as this model has several flaws already. I designed the stock after the retractable stock that's found on the H&K MP7. Felt like that would be the best for this design, though I was originally thinking about making a basic folding stock.

Looks alot like the HERA 'Glock in a Box'

Its nice I like it.

I had an idea for a holster. How about an MP7 one? They are huge but similarly shaped to the M6C. It would slip in and slip out.

Also may i suggest using this tactical grip?

Other thing - Try www.dentrinity.com for the plastic slide the stock absurd amounts of origional parts and others.

Already have a MP7 holster and it fits with no problems. The only downside to them is they're big a bulky, and when they're holding a MP7 it makes you feel unbalanced when you run. What I'm thinking about is designing a plastic holster just for the M6C. I recently bought a Serpa holster for my TM P226 and have found it works insanely well when I need to switch to my pistol. The holster I'm using now for the M6C takes me about a second or two to release, and maybe 10 seconds to reholster and lock it down. My next project is going to be to design a Serpa style holster that can fit the M6C.

For those of you who are wondering what a Serpa holster is, look here.

That SMG-thingie looks stupid...But I still like it!

Serpa holsters are the best holsters I have yet came around. One that would fit M6 would have to be HUGE.

Looking forward to see your progress on this.

Keep it up. Hope you get that printer back in use soon.

Ahh man an M6C SEPRA would be the coolest thing ever. Ive got one for my M9, and its so quick.

Thing is that would take alot of R&D though id love to see it

haha, one guy? That would suck...And also since its taking so long does that mean that ALL the printers are breaking really fast so he is really busy?

idk still funny, yeah the custom holster would be a good idea.

The SMG design kind of reminds me of... The SMG. I think it might be the sight-thingy and the foregrip.

Excellent job with the M6C, i flat-out love it.

Already know of them. Shipping from Redwolf would kill me though, so I rather just buy the WE version from Evike.

Amazing work! From the 3D CGI, through the 3D printing, and right through the painting and installation! We look forward to the next update, especially if it is more 3D printed parts, if they ever get the printer fixed, that is.

After finishing up finals and projects I can finally make it back to my high school tomorrow to see what's going on. I swear that printer better be up and running or else I'm going to find someone myself to fix it.

Expect a post tomorrow afternoon, should have an answer by then.

Well, the guy still hasn't come down to fix it. I was talking to my teacher about the issue and he says it has something to do with his computer linking in with the 3D printers 3 computers. I didn't even realized it had three. Worse, he tells me he didn't receive a user's guide or manual for the 3D printer either to explain how it all works. He did listen to my idea about making a stand alone computer for it though, so whenever that guy comes out to set it up it will be done that way.

This sucks for me, and all the other students in his class. I think he's backed up to 15 projects waiting to be printed, so I'm not the only one who's getting tired of waiting. Next week I'm going to start digging around for a manual or someone else to come out and service the machine. This is ridiculous.

man, you have talent, and it really shows in what you have done. just wondering do you know where i may be able to find a 3d printer and use it without having to pay for it or take the class at school?

There's a few online sites out there that will take your 3D model files and look over them, then print them. Unfortunately their services tend to be quite pricey. The M6C I made would probably have cost over $600 if I had them make it for me at their rates.

Try this site out. The advantage with this site is if your model works you can put it up for sale and other users can buy them off you.

Now if you don't mind having parts made of metal, these guys will cut your 3D models on a CNC milling machine.

As for me, since I have the next 3 weeks off I think I'm going to go back and redesign the M6C as a stand alone prop. I'll be sure to make the parts functional, but I'm planning on designing a mold to be printed on the 3D printer. Features will need to be redesigned for this to work right, so it's going to take some time to rebuild it. From there I can just make copies without having to make a mold of the original.
