Ive been working on blueprints for a M831 TT warthog. I know it sounds stupid, but really. how many times do people start and not finish. i have actually build a virtual build of the chassis. next is the engine, transmission, and just about what ever i can get my hands on in real life to build virtually so i know whats what and where it would go best, instead of waisting many hours and lots of money on correcting tons of mistakes. heres the frame build i made the past two days.

next the engine and everything else will be fitted.

Sweet! just found a perfect chassis for the frame, and an engine, transmission and suspension system to go with the warthog.

its a Dodge Ram 1500 chassis and engine. im looking round town and through google sketchup for a cheaper truck with a similar chassis. Any cheap trucks with similar chassis's anybody knows of?

You could always look for a local GSA auction and try to score a military HMMWV.

i would have to look for a front-and-rear-steering vehicle if i would ever decide to build one,
i actually may use these blueprints in the future, their pretty cool.

dude ur is SO cal i c. man when this is done i so want to see it in persn im station down in san diego i would drive anywhere to see a real hog lol even if it is a TT version..........

From the looks of your mockup you will be running front and rear leaf springs. That will make things a lot cheaper. Look for anything pre-1987 as all these full-size models used solid front axles and most used front leaf springs. Look for Ram-Chargers, K-5 Blazers and Full-Size Broncos. Ram Chargers will be the cheapest you will come across. K-5 blazers are the most customizable and have the most after market support. I wheel jeeps in my spare time and have quite a bit of offroad customizing knowledge. Hit me up if you have any more questions.

aye man i dont know if you have alreay answered this, but when, how are you plannning on building this. I'm in the process of making one, but I'm doing the theory side atm. if this helps below is a quick overview of what I'm looking at doing.

Quick overview
-Reference Photos at many angles. Obviously a must.
-Pick a few main photos for cab and body measurements. helps to give me a idea of what the skeleton or frame needs to be like.
-get a model of the warthog and scale up to a chosen vehicles wheel base
-test make one skeleton frame out of wood and, where possible test fit everything (engine, gearbox, everything). this would allow you to make sure everything is accurate before you commit metal to the job and saves a bit more cash. Then when I'm happy make a metal frame/ skeleton.
- Once everythings figured start fitting it. then panels and wiring. then test it out, whatever doesn't work, fix it.

sorry for spamming your thread, but I saw another warthog build and thought I'd offer what I have thought up and what advice i have recieved from ADOR who is also building a hog. hopefully this helps man, let me know aye

Ok so far this is what ive got and im working on a physics version. im gonna send the model to sketchup if any one wants to download it for a good reference if anybody is planning on buildin a warthog. and guess what bitches? HALO 4
