SW shielding is excellent against projectile weaponry. The Imperial star destroyer spent days in the asteroid field at Hoth, and was bombarded with high speed rock to no ill effect. Then there's the Millennium Falcon arriving at Alderaan etc etc.

ok then, chief has a significant disadvantage if vehicles were used then... is mandalorian armor shielded though?

Traditional armor is made of Mandelorian iron, which is impervious to blaster fire (energy weapons) and was hence light saber resistant.

However Fett's armor was made from Durasteel, which is 3 times as strong as normal steel. No shielding beyond that.

+1 for chief there. I'd imagine that a blaster shot would be around equivalent to a charged plasma pistol, so chief wouldn't be completely obliterated were he to be hit by Fett, assuming that Fett could follow chief's speed in the first place.
