Just pondering here, but does anyone beside me think that it would be possible to make either full metal armor or possibly plated metal armor?
no doubt both methods are hard, but each I think is doable to some degree, granted you shell out a lot of money.
for full metal armor, i was reading up on metal injection molding. I figured if you could make a negative key of armor pieces using clay or like substances, and send it to a company like advanced powder products inc., they could then use the key to make an injection modeling of the pieces, then all you have to do is paint it. obviously something light like aluminum or somethings would be used.
plating it would be a lot more simpler. I think you'd still need to make a mold of the original armor thats being plated first off, then use that mold to make the plating, then affix it to the original armor. my question is what would be the best way to plate the armor, I think i might try it when i get a set or finish one up.
