I have purchased these two beautiful weapons. I did paint them though

I also bought a Boomco Nerf gun Needler and rewired the electronics and repainted it.

is everything wired to a single battery unit or individual armor parts have their own?

Damn, I've been looking through your thread and admiring your Carter armor.... WOW! It looks simply outstanding *_*

Thank you very much. I am currently rebuilding piece by piece. I also have a thread of molding/ casting. You should check it out.

It's been a long time since I posted on here but I think it's time to make a change to that. I have decided to rebuild my suit since my skills have improved. I will be posting the rebuild in this thread so I don't waist my threads that I have available for future builds.so far I remade the chest and the attachments for the chest.

I also have learned on how to vacuum form visors and have made my own templates and vacuum former. I am able to dye and spray the mirror coat on.

Both helmets have been equipped with the new visors and have been repainted.

I repainted a majority of the armor for this year for Cons.

Dude, awesome. I will be subscribing to see your new and improved progress. Did you just rip Iron Man's face off?? Haha.

Kudos on the vacuforming. Questions: Approximate cost you put out on creating the table? And Approximate cost on then creating one or two of the visors (plastic, dye, gold paint)? I was then going to ask if it was worth it, but... it looks like it was worth it. :)

I'd say approximately $40 of wood. I made 3 visor templates that will fit on my 12x18 vacuum former. So I used 1 sheet for 3 visors. The Petg plastic was bout on Amazon. 0.020 is thickness at $12.00 for 10 sheets +$11 for shipping.

That's pretty cheap. $2.30 per sheet and $40 for the build.......Labor is free since you do it.....Iv'e seen some visors go for $40 or more so I would say it is well worth it. I have to build one of those myself........

And you don't have to spend another $40 on new visor if it cracks. You can just quickly crank out a new one.

Hey ErMac! Been a bit, modifications going well?

I've finally made my own vacuum former too and I was wondering were do you get your plastic? So far I've spent $20 on plastic, with like 6-8 attempts and still no luck. They either come out too thin and brittle or too thick and hard to see through. My next step will be to go to a plastic specialist and see what they think, but I thought I would check with you first. Thanks mate!

I buy PETG Thermoform .020'' plastic

Nice. I've got them on order now. I don't know why I was driving to stores thinking I would find stuff like this, should have just gone to amazon first. I can't tell you how many people in craft stores and hardware stores asked me, "PT what?" lol $2.15/sheet in a 12 pack of 12" x 12" Thanks man!

*and now.. If you don't mind me asking another.. The spray paint? I've only been able to find silver mirror spray paint. What is the brand of the stuff you're using? I'd really like to find a blue mirror one.

Not to resurrect an older post but I was using the "search function" on here to find vacuum forming ideas on how to build your own vacuum fig... low and behold... YOUR name came up... dude... since you are so close to me, I suggest a build day at YOUR shop... the only cool thing I have in my shop is a Jet lathe, you have a Vacuum former... damn...

seriously lets set something up, I cant wait to learn any tricks of the trade from you and Sassmaster!
