My first 3D armor

Noooo that’s so unfortunate!!
It happens to the best of us. I would encourage you to keep going! Besides that one major shift the rest of the print looks great. Seems you just need to make a few adjustments to your printer or settings to get the nice print youre after. Perhaps using z-hop or re-orienting your print might help

That one hurts. Take the time to step back and work on another project if need be. It's a pain and comes at a cost, but luckily the part is reprint-able.

You've got this.

AT LAST ..... SUCCESS

a bit big but i can fit stuff in it now

Update on the armor build

Helmet is ready for painting
Back armor is 50% printed
Thigh needs to be reprinted bigger
Chest is good size and solid
Shoulders are good but I'm debating on using the ODST shoulder ls I made in 2018 (kit bashing)

I'm trying to be better about asking before blurting out comments.
Are you just giving updates, or are you interested in constructive criticism/feedback even if its not all rainbows?

We all have our own levels of how far we want to go. I totally respect the guy that says "I'm only wearing this 1 or 2 days a year at most: I'm not investing half my life in to it."

I don't know as I'd think that though. I guess I'm seeing this like running a race. I don't see running 90% of the race then stopping 50m short of the finishing line. If you've already invested... I dunno... 20 hours in sanding and prep, why not go another 5-10 and get it actually smoothed and sanded before you paint it? You've come this far; what's a few more hours after this much investment?
