hey guys, not sure if this is really something i should post about, but i just wanted to put it out there that while i have yet to start work on any actual armour, i do plan on making some, i just have to wait till after i'm done university for the summer. but starting this summer i'm going to start building the armour every chance i get free... so yeah, just wanted to put that out there...

and if any of the mods feel that this post just should not be, feel free to delete it, and i apologize for being too noobish here haha. these moments will be very few and far between, i promise lol

Don't sweat it, Outlaw.

I posted pretty much the same sentiment in my helmet progress thread and it wasn't taken as out of line or anything.

Granted, I had started on the armour, lol, and then had to post a very depressing "update" that I wasn't going to be able to make any progress with it for a while given current circumstances.

If it's any consolation, I started my Mk VI armour about a year and a half ago, and all I've got to show for it up until now is an almost-finished helmet, lol.

So, I'm kinda in the same boat as you, dude. As enjoyable and engaging as this hobby can be, it's understandable that we all have other real-life matters that may sometimes get in the way of it. Happens to all of us

haha thanks spartan II =D and its true. i could totally just get absorbed by this hobby and wouldn't mind to much lol but sadly the real world demands the main bulk of our attention :( lol. and being ADD that is hard enough as it is !! lol.

and lastspartan, i signed yup :D haha i thought i was the only canadian maritimer on this site :D lol turns out there are three of us hahaha

i completely understand, the only reason why i was able to start building my helmet was because i took a week of vacation. So i spent 3 nights of that week working on my helmet, and now that i'm back its like.. ahh where do i find time to finish it.

Anyway good luck with everything, and keep checking back in the forums for any inspiration or ideas on how to start/work on progress for your armor. I find that looking at other threads helps give me ideas on what to do next, and also what sort of materials are needed to do what.

haha thanks, and i fully agree with you, i was reading one guy's thread where he put speakers in his helmet to amplify his voice, and read about an idea for making hearing better in an other thread. so many great ideas !

and once i get started i will be able to work little bits here and little bits there, but the main bulk will be during my breaks... which are very few and far between :(
