I am absolutely blown away by all the positive reactions to this project, thank you all who have responded! This really gives me the confidence to continue my work in this area. However I don't think I am good enough to be selling casts of these kinds of things just yet. :p

Thank you 405th!

Bull Crap! Make freaking molds out of it, it looks freaking amazing, from the one picture you have done of it atleast!? Some more pictures would be appreciated, but I would definitley say that this is mold worthy! =0

It would take some repair work and I would have to add some more details to it, but molding is hard and expensive for me. I will try to make my weapons better in the future, next up, an SMG, and since I want a pair, I might make molds of those. I will most likely reattempt the shotgun at a later date, and since people seem so interested, I might put forth the extra effort to make it truely mold worthy ;)

Don't know how I missed this before, this is fantastic! I have been thinking about doing the shotgun for a while. How does the forward grip feel size wise? Is is too big or just right? Like I said before, its fantastic, especially for a first scratch build!!

The forward grip feels great, it is just a pretty long reach, I'm a 6 foot gut, and even with the gun at 40 inches, putting the stoick up against my shoulder makes the pump VERY far out, I would probably scale it down more next time, to 36 inches. But the grip feels fine, I will say that I learned that you need to make the pistol grip out of something solid since the gun is very end heavy and with foams core making up the grip, it needs to be much more solid.

very nice scratch build and FYI Blue shot gun shell and usually slug shot whereas RED is buckshot like in halo

Thats weird, I could have sworn the halo shells were blue, for god sakes thats why I made them blue! but yes, it turns out they're red, darn you halopedia!

Good work by the way, you convinced me to take a 2nd try at my POS Shotty! (I Pepped it, let's just say it didn't work out ;) )

I find pepakura weapons to be incredibly difficult to build, strengthen, and detail. I know there are people out there who can do amazing pep weapons, but I find scratch-making is easier than pepakura just because you can make it in your own image. I am a fan of improvisation and I have made 2 pep weapons before this scratch build, a magnum pistol, and an assault rifle. I can definitely say that I am going to be building my weapons from scratch.

by the way, I hope POS doesn't mean my definition of P.O.S.

Piece of $^%# ? Yup.

Edit: Hey man, forgot to mention I started my Shotgun! I'm pretty sure I'm using the same thing as you, but i ran out :( . My Mom is gonna come back any second with 5 or so sheets, and my Elite figurine :p. I'll show you some pics if you want later!

well, if you have a work in progress, you should start your own topic, this is my own thread, and you deserve to have your own, but have some pics first, or the ban hammer edges closer OH T3H N03S!
