My New Space Marine!

since, my helmet wont fit in the neckwell of my already made chest I decided to rebuild some parts, as I have more experience building now so I decided to make a new thread about the new suit, and yes my tech marine is still coming, just not yet

I've redesigned the chest, here's an early shot of it, still unfolding it, gawd this is taking forever, any expert unfolders want to step up PM me

so there it is the new chest, I like how it came out now lets just hope I dont go further insane getting this thing unfolded, I will probably @ the very least re-do the shoulders also so that I know the shape will fit over the shoulder/arm bells

Techmarine = win. Too bad for me its gonna take forever for me to get to the level needed to build one remotely similar to the actual model/art versions. How are the proportions looking so far? Aside from space marines being totally disproportional to an actual human. Can't wait to see this come to life!

the new scaling is pretty similar just w/ more tweaks here and there and a bit more hi-def then the original source models

Literally found that thread 3 seconds after my post. I'm liking the proportions. most people end up making it very anorexic looking, which obviously space marines are not. I also notice they tend to make the chest plate far too thin, again adding more to the anorexic marine look. can't wait to see the finished product! I'm just starting to get into the whole pepakura thing and what not, so I'm gonna have to start small.


Just as an aside, the tech marine axe is freaking amazing looking!
