Permaspooked, if you get stuck and are missing any bits, let me know and ill have a look through my archive. I pretty much copied everything Fallout 3 related.

I noticed there are a few things missig in the list now..

Cheers.

Very nice pep work man! I loved the power armour from Fallout 3... which Fallout are you making yours from?

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Its apreciated and will help me stay motivated. Im kinda impressed with myself as well since its my first pepakura attempt. I am a bit familiar with things like fiberglass and resin thow. Im more worried my paint job wont come out so hot but ive been reading all the tutorials i can.

Thanks for the offer combust i believe i have everything now. Busy printing out the torso right now. I figure ill pep all the parts then resin all the parts then paint all the parts. This way im not running around all over the place. Swift i am modeling it from the one right on the cover of fallout 3. Im currently in the process of playing threw new vegas thow. Hope you guys are all having a good thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too! About the painting. What are your biggest worries about it? What I always do for my painting is bondo the outside of your resin'd piece, sand it down to the shape you want (I use 120 grit but 40-80 grit works also, just before you're done sanding hit it with 120-150) so after sanding you hit it with primer (not literally hit it but spray it) so after the first coat sand it with 320 grit paper to really smooth it out, like super smooth, then after that do one more coat of primer so you dont sand through it while painting on your primary color. Painters tape and newspaper really help with painting. I hope this helps. Weathering I use a dry paintbrush and aluminum colored paint and just weather the edges and ragged-wartorn parts. Goodluck to you, Cant wait to see this done.

So i completed the waist but its to small. Im looking to make it a bit smaller so i can use elastic straps? not sure what its called to hold on. I will use foam on the inside to prevent moving around. It was a bit to small thow so i will have to do it over. I chose to move on to the bicep so i will re-do the waist later on.

Nice job man. After looking at your helmet again its far and away a better pep than my helmet (Also first go at large pep). Congrats!

Cheers.

Thanks combust. There are a few things on the helmet that i know are there that really cant be seen. Nothing that would make me redue it thow. the reason im going for a smaller piece is so i can get the stretchy bands to work the way i hope they will.

Here is an early morning sunday update. I just finished the second bicep. I now have both biceps done. I am printing out the forarms as we speak. I also decided i may try to make a foam dummy to display the armor on using foam from michaels. We will see what happens with that. So here are the biceps pics. I was also thinking about using foam in the shoulders to keep weight down. This way i dont have to use alot of resin and bondo. Has anyone else used this method or similiar and did it work?

Well after assembling a forearm i have figured out the biceps are to big. So i have to redue them and make them smaller. On a brighter note i finished both forearms at the propper size.

Hey, where did you find the pep files for the shoulderpiece for the power armor? I cant find them anywhere.

This thread is a bit old and the person you are trying to contact probably doesn't check this thread often anymore. It is suggested you PM them instead. However I am building this armor myself and I have the files you need, PM me if you want them.

Edit: If the person who made this does still check in, I am also in the NY area and I noticed you said you wanted to make this for comic-con. I'll probably have my F3 suit done by September hopefully so we could possibly go there together as a power armor duo.

Hello everybody. I am the original poster of this thread. It has been a long time since this thread. Time flys quickly.

So shorty after my last post tradgedy happened. I learned that you should resin after each pep build as my armor warped to a point were it would not look right if resined. So i took it as a loss. I should of updated you guys.

I appologise to anyone excited about this build. i am planning another smaller pipboy build as the announcement of fallout 4 came about.

I will hopefully have a completed build for you guys.
