Hello! This is my very first time hearing about this site, i'm a v-tuber twitch partnered streamer who grew up with halo as it was my first game ever played, and just yesterday i realized i'm an adult with adult money and can now make my own spartan armor LOL.

After reading most of the books and media for halo, it took me a while to decide who i wanted to base my first EVA foam cosplay after, but i've decided to go with Victor-101 from black team!

Although they were known to wear mark VI, i'm a big fan of the Mark IV and would like to remix that into it. I appreciate any and all help as i start this journey! My goal is to have it done by halo fest! A reasonable time/goal i think no?

Welcome to the forums! I'm fairly new myself too! What do you specialize in on YouTube and twitch? That build is going to look so good. Are you experienced with foam? I am so horrible with it! I need tons of practice lol.

Welcome! I actually recently made a PNG tuber of my new suit to start using to make content! EVA foam definitely has quite the learning curve. So my best tips are this.
1. Keep your blade sharp. Sharpen and or replace it every couple of cuts
2. Use contact cement as your main adhesive to glue parts together (preferably barge)
3. Don't be afraid to remake parts you aren't happy with! When i first started I made like 3-4 pairs of shins before i got a pair i was actually happy with...

As for the time frame I think its reasonable! Just keep building parts that keep yourself motivated! I'm currently planning out my next suit for halo fest too!

Welcome, welcome! Glad to see Black Team get some love, as for the goal you set for Halo Fest, a year is certainly enough time as long as you consistently work at it. My first suit took about 7 months to make however it looks rushed and haphazardly put together, so my advice would be to take it slow. Overall though just have fun with it, the more you think of building as a task instead of a something enjoyable the slower the process will seem.
Hope all turns out well for you!
