You should also take into consideration what clothes and boots you will be wearing under your armour. Test fitting in a pair of shorts doesn't give an accurate fit. If you are wearing some combat pants and boots it can add a bit of bulk and make the armour a little more snug.

That looks awesome!! Great job on the resize. I know it can be a let down after all that work and you put that on and it's not what you thought it was going to be. You are so close dude!!!! It's going to be so worth it when you get the reactions of people after the first wear! Great work!! (y) :)

So, got the boots done, but need shoes to put them on. So, for now they dont look right. Which also means no pictures yet. But back on the shins, definitely think they are too big. This is the one next to my MK VI shin. 6 days of working time left, and still have forearms, 1, maybe 2 shins, belt buckle, strapping and paint left. Yep, no pressure at all...

I like that design in your floor. :p

If that MK VI shin fits you, you'll probably be too big which will impede your movement.

Dude 6 days is cutting it close, but i believe in you! It's totally possible, you got this! Just be careful and steady.

Good work!

What glue are you using for your foam pieces? I'm currently cutting them all out of the foam, and was planning on just using hot glue. But your stuff looks amazing!

Get some 5 second loctite professional liquid super glue. It's much quicker and way cleaner than hot glue. Then back your seams with hot glue so they don't pop. This will help you be faster.

What Sean said is good, I have been using contact cement and have been pretty happy with it thus far. the hot glue back-fill is smart though.

I use contact cement. I have it in a reusable condiment bottle, lay a bead on one piece, then use the piece i am joining to it to smear it on both halves. I do a bunch of pieces at a time so it has time to dry. It is forgiving if you mis align the seams as long as you start with the edge. Also, got done with work early today and had a chance to pick up some boots. With them on, shin looks good. So, going to pad it out and run it. 3 days, including tonight of working time left, since we are taking the kids out of town for the 4th. And friday is outpost. I think I can make it.

Probably the helmet or torso GivenHercules51 got the other shin done, plus a little bit of the details for the torso. Forearms, belt buckle, straps and paint left. Woof, 2 days left. Oh, and looks like one of the giant pile of ODST helmets I have made over time is a better fit.

So, resized in armorsmith to the point where I was pretty sure it was going to be tight, then printed and built, and pretty sure it's still too big. I can pad the inside so it will fit, but am I wrong in thinking I still need to resize? Oh, and dont mind the mess lol
I think you should just pad it, it doesn't look oddly sized to me. Plus, it's easier to remove/add padding for refitting than it is to reprint and create.

Edit: Gosh darnnit I was on the first page again. Get's me everytime.

you are doing great!!!! I find that the ODST foam templets are a bit confusing when you first start them and honestly that many of the voids can be left filled in and just add some parts on top. (forearm vents, the shoulder pads, the thigh weapon plates, etc) Over all you are doing awesome and should be proud of how fast and well detailed you are getting this.

I'm glad i'm not the only one who noticed that, Was just like why would I cut a hole out of this armor piece when It juts out anyway.
