A couple of pictures I dug up.

It was pretty fun. Definitely a learning experience on armor strapping and emergency repair jobs. It's also a good opportunity to see what works out and what needs to be fixed on, especially with colors. I definitely need to invest in gray coveralls later down the line.
I will say that I seemed to enjoy myself a lot more than the average person in a suit of armor. =P My buddy was wearing a modded licensed costume and he couldn't even sit down. The way I had the ODST suit set up afforded a comfortable amount of mobility. Heck, I even drove a little bit in it. It wasn't any more uncomfortable than modern day armor, though I will say black is not a comfortable color in the heat. =P But like I said earlier, gray looks like it would go better anyways. And the Oakley boots are awesome, I can't say that enough. The whole time I was wearing them I never had any issues with my feet...I wore another pair of boots for just an hour or two and it got painful fast.
Also I'm impressed with the durability. On the first day the chest piece fell off while I was standing probably 3 or 4 times with no noticeable damage.\
I was really glad with the number of people who recognized the ODST uniform. Shouts of "Feet first!" "Helljumpers!" and "Prepare to drop!" far outweighed the shouts of "Master chief!" and the oen person who thought I was a special forces stormtrooper (which ironically there was one of later on). There were a lot of people who had heard of the 405th and were interested. I also ran into a couple of members! MC Hammer time and Bopx. Hopefully as the 405th gets more developed we can get a california "garrison", or whatever the 405th equivalent would be, organized.
Oh yeah, I noticed in one of the Anime Expo photo galleries there was a blue spartan with...CQB shoulders I think? (honestly it's been a while since i"ve played multiplayer) I didn't bump into him at the con, the only MCs I saw were my buddy, and a few other licensed suits. Would that happen to have been you, Enrisan? Well whoever it was, that suit looked awesome in the photographs I could find of it.
Anyways, back to making sure I still have my summer job, unpacking, and planning out what to work on for the rest of my summer!
