MDF warps and swells wen it gets wet. It is getting used more and more in house building because it's cheap. I truly hate the junk. It's the same junk that most school desk tops are made out of.

Uh, I'm not talking about using it to make actual armor, just the molds for the armor.

I have a feeling you're thinking of fiberboard.

MDF is ideal for CNC because it's the same consistency, from piece-to-piece and throughout each piece. In addition, there are specialized woodworking tools to handle it, allowing quick, clean cutting.
