Ohio Booth Build - Ideas

Okay folks

It's time we've made an official post for something tossed around the last few cons, but most notably C2E2 2025. LadyRedCos and I are wanting to host booth build days throughout this year, but also want to store the built booth for use should a local convention need. We have recently purchased a home with a great amount of space. This includes a dry basement and (4) detached 2-car garages. We were very fortunate for this opportunity, and the moment we laid an offer down, we discussed the possibility of hosting build days at our place. We're more than willing to dedicate some of the space to house the completed booth.

However, we cannot have a booth without ideas! The Live Fire booth is a hit, and was such a blast to see in person. If you haven't checked that thread out, you totally should before laying down your own ideas.

Check it out here! : Midwest Booth - Live Fire

Three things that we want to keep in mind is materials, assembly, transportability. But let's get creative! I personally wouldn't want a 1 to 1 recreation of the Harvest booth, let's make this our own for this side of the states! We have the creativity in this group!

Who? : Any 405th member, specifically in the Northern Ohio area or who is willing to travel.

What? : Gather booth ideas, determine who is capable of what, and finish a booth to have display ready by end of year 2025 or earlier.

When? : Booth build days are to be determined until a booth concept is made, decided upon, materials purchased, and availability of members. What would be your preferred day(s)? Let us know!

Where : Sandusky Ohio. Specific location can be shared via PM when build days are decided and participants are confirmed.

Why : We currently have a mix of booth assets throughout the Midwest Regiment or 405th as a whole that have been passed from member to member for con use. My goal is to have a 405th booth ready to assemble in one location that can be picked up and moved on site without the need of asking who has what and where (minus the props or display items people bring with them on occasion).

I'm excited to make something to have on show with the gang, I love things like this and cannot wait to bring more in game assets to life!

Attached are pictures of the garages at this exact moment to give an idea on space. We can and will clean up before any actual building happens, it's just a little chaotic as we're only about two months in with the house. Also attached is a silly reveal video LadyRedCos made for the 405th. in the discord Midwest Regiment channel is that silly video, it's file size is too large to put here.

Thanks,
Parzival.

I was made aware that there is a goal should we need to, that the booth could be combined with the other existing booth(s) to create a larger Halo scene pending the convention (Think TORG scale of space available). Still not a 1 : 1 reacreation, but keep on theme for this go around. After this booth, perhaps other themes could be made if we want / need.

The green light on the door could be good for grabbing attention to the booth. It would have to not be too bright though.

Any door would be an improvement over dragging pipe and drape away when exiting the changing area!

I'm really liking the idea of the weapons training being the booth. Is that what we're going to shoot for?

As far as booth supplies goes, we have many hardware stores down the road :
Menards
Lowes
Home Depot
Michaels
Hobby Lobby

I have a crate that is about the size of the long one there on the right in that image as well. With some cleanup and decals, it can act as a 2 rifle storage system and display piece.

FuriousFido and I have (2) smaller size crates that could be painted up, think Halo 3 crates that could be smacked in game to remove their tops. They're kind of that size.

Lastly, I have some hotel points from work travel that can be used for $100 home depot gift cards. They take a bit of time to be delivered, but I already have a few in my possession that I'm willing to put towards this.
