Ohio Taco Lunch

So after a not-so-long conversation on the Discord server, it's been decided that a few of us Ohio resident members near the Southeast Columbus area want to have a taco lunch and get ice cream at some point in May. The specific date hasn't been decided yet, but if possible we'd enjoy having some more people join us. This will take place at Local Cantina and Johnson's Ice Cream in Canal Winchester Ohio, and anybody who can make it down for food and a little chaos is welcome

Oh I'm for sure coming...it should be noted that we will be asking permission to both establishments on if we can wear helmets. Possible armor for a later date or subsequent visit. This is gonna be so dang fun

Quick update: My last day of school is on Friday May 30th. Would you guys mind if we push it to that day?

The 24th was a Saturday. do we want to do the 31st because that is also a Saturday? or do we want to move it to a Friday? Friday would mean i am not available till after 5 pm.

I also work until 3-5 pm on Fridays. We may need to move it to your next or previous available weekend

If possible we could try for the 31st as it’s a Saturday and would give us a little more time to prepare. However, it’s up to everyone coming to decide because I don’t want to force a date and time on everyone without asking first. So what do y’all think?

We never really confirmed a new date. My vote is the 31st.

In discord we discussed helmets only for tacos and ice-cream.

I have contacts with a local business with a large amount of land behind their building that would be more then happy to have us there in full armor if we want to go and get some photos after of before in full gear.

I like it honestly, gives us more time to see if anyone else can make it, and if we have work to do on our own helmets and such we have time to do so

Second thing to consider as well Fallen Is there anything from logistics / PR we may need to consider? Things you'd like us to do or things we can speak on or besides getting confirmed permission and conducting ourselves respectfully?

This is a rather large facility and they do not operate on weekends (like i said i have a connect to LEGALLY get in) so there is no risk of disturbing them. Their break room can easily fit 30 people.

If you dont want to keep your armor in the car while we have lunch we could also drop them off at my site and then go eat.

This all sounds like a pretty good plan to me. We could probably drop the armor off beforehand and then come back to the place to take pictures.

We should also consider possibly doing a couple of build days this summer to get projects handled, because it'd be fun to hang out, and it's not always easy to build stuff at home with a lot of distractions(I have lots of siblings).
