Ohio Booth Build - Ideas

Is there a way people could sign up at con via an ipad or something? I saw another regiment (can't remember which one) had a UNSC Enlistment terminal, that looked straight out of the first level of ODST. I don't know if it could actually function as a way for people to join at the booth, but I always thought it was cool. Doesn't really fit the live fire vibe, but maybe it would be cool as a side build or something.

The issue would be that you would be registering multiple accounts from the same iPad, meaning they would be registering multiple accounts with the same IP address, which would trigger the Forum's Anti-Spam and Multiple Account notices, so, any accounts done like that would be hung up in the manual approval queue.

Ah. Makes sense. Alas, what could have been, right? At least it looks cool, even if that's its only purpose :D

I had an idea to use the rest of those brackets I got to stop the wall from sliding from the support. We could attach them to the lower side of the back wall frame on top of a 2x3 or 2x4 section. We would just have to slide another board into them with the support beam already attached. It would press against the support beam in the middle and stop it from moving away.

Ok the targets are cut and have the plastic dip on so paint in the morning question do you want them to show a little weather or stay new looking? I'm running letters for the live for sign will update that by the weekend

Saturday this weekend I intend to go buy the paint and supplies needed for the walls. We’ll start with a gallon of each first and go from there. LadyRedCos and I will get the walls mocked up for setup in garage #4 and see how they look together.

Saturday that weekend we did not paint or setup the walls. This was a post made from a motivated member the morning of traveling to their first concert. Two days after said concert, we were still whooped and pretty tired.

We did buy paint and we did move the walls to garage #4 though! With the walls moved I grabbed some photos of their current state.

On another note, there is a grey brick pattern on the lower half of these walls in game. After the initial meetings discussions, these fake panels were found on home depots website. I ordered one panel to test with and here is how it looks against one of the walls.

PLEASE share your thoughts on the panels and if it is something we want to run with or if we want to attempt something different, wether it is painted brick pattern or something else homemade. If we decide to run with these panels, mounting and cutting to fit will need to be done after more are ordered.

We still need to decide our next booth day to make adjustments to the wall support structure, get the wall through bolts in place, and paint! We will need one or two more booth days yet pending progress of the next.

Can't beat that price. We could go with this wall. It recreates the size of the cinder blocks a little better but it might be more work to cut for fitting to each wall section.

Would anyone be able to build another pegboard rack and/or another prop rack?
Could be the Turtle Racks or another design as long as we could have it by CGC and can hold a handful of props. Pegboard would be for more display items and other would be for either photo area or personal props if we can get 'em made. If only one can be finished I'd prefer another personal/photo area prop rack.

billeybob250 not sure if that's something you'd be interested and able to work on. They mostly require a minimum of basic tools such as circular saw, jig saw, and drill/screw gun.

i have access to a full CNC and slide saw if needed.

Do you have designs?

Edit;

So i just looked at this Turtle racks post and i have questions. mainly is the reason rack stencil built for a 4x8 sheet of ply wood? if so i could probably get these cut on a CNC and optimize the cut sheet.

How many?

CNC would be even better.

If a turtle rack then 1 would be needed by CGC since I think mine is already at Wayward's, but we made modifications to it for C2E2 that would be preferable to as they are in the thread. Basically double the rifle rests and remove the shelves. The ones I've made were 48" wide and took just over 1 4x8 sheet (that was doing the version w/ shelves and modifying later).

Fallen if all you want is 1 of these then i could do that in no time. if you want something modified and can get me a modified sheet like this i can cut that instead and could do multiple.

My site also has a spray booth so i could spray them there also.

Feel free to DM me if you want.

the CNC cut program for these have been made. it is theorized that 3 racks will fit on 4 pieces of wood.

so far i have been suggest 2 matterils to use. 1/2 in MDF or 1/2 in pine ply.

It is important to note that with the current wall setup (6 full walls, 2 half walls) with about 2 panels per wall, we'd be looking at $227.22 - $390.18 in cost of just those panels. I still have Home Depot gift cards and can use them for that however I need to know what route we'd prefer.

I believe we'd want about 12 of the Dundee panels to cover all walls we currently have? So about $334.44. If interested, I can order at least one panel and see how it looks in size.

Yeah, I would order one so we can decide. The difference might not be that noticeable to even consider the cost.
