I agree with what some people have said earlier. Half-life two is probably the only "bad" thing on the disc. It gets really freaky on the zombie levels. I would either get The Orange Box and agree not to play Half-Life two and follow that agreement or just buy TF2 and Portal separately. With the first option later on when you are older you have Half-Life 2 so you can play it then.

I was thinking since there was so many post about Half Life being gory, and I remembered this. I used to subscribe to Official Xbox Magazine and it always came with a demo disk. Turns out I still have the demo for Half Life 2! My dad said the he would look at it sometime this week and tell me yes or no on that game. He already said yes with Portal since it's rated T, but still isn't sure with TF2 since it is online.

Yeah, half life 2 is gory, but the GOOD kinda gore. I.E. the kind that only comes when you shoot a saw blade at a zombie trying to eat you through its chest, and the torso (severed) starts to crawl after you. Besides that, just don't play Ravenholm in the middle of the night.....in a cold garage......that has no lighting from the inside......like, say, me.

I'm not being rude, but I think they rated half life 2 M for a reason. You're not 17. I've played this game, and can say it isnt for a 12 year old.

When you make it to ravenholm, you start dreaming about that crap at night. There are tons of people online who can relate to this and have some serious mental stress because of this.

Yeh, there's some pretty sick stuff in HL2. While Garrys Mod is a very fun game and it can be used responsably it still gives u access to the bad parts of HL2. Portal, awesome game. One of the better i've played. TF2, a little messy but the blood can be removed with a couple of console commands. Eg...

Overall i'd have to agree with Frosty on this one. Buy Portal and TF2 separate. Wait till ur 15 to play the violent stuff. You'll be glad u did when u grow up

I played this game 2 years ago, when alyx says "We dont go to ravenholm no more", you dont wanna go.

This game chanegs from half life 2 into some endless zombie repeating maze town that's dark and the pants are dead! Theres walking legs, and walking headcrabs, and walking dead people.

The end of the game is just as freaky when you see starved human beings enslaved....omg.....

Well, my Mom said yes to the orange box but I can't play HL2 until I'm fifteen. So i went to school all happy. But the I got 1 hour detention. And then my mom got mad. And then she made me say bye bye to orange box. Then i cried.

well i got orange box a while before when it came out, and your 12, and im 10... well i was 10 when i got, realy i dont see whats the big deal realy its your parents if there ok with blood, gore and maybe a few cuss words spiting out of nowhere. My mom hates the cussing words so i have to watch out for any cussing in my games. but realy your mom did she realy make you say bye bye to the orange box? well, its okay, either you can get half life 3 when it comes out, or portal. Portals great but i just cant get around those hard levels! but a little challenge is always good once in a while until you start getting realy mad and start smashing your keyboard or controller into pieces...
